My new home in upstate New York has proved to be the fresh creative start that this artist has been sorely missing.
For my first venture into the local art scene, I volunteered and participated in the most recent group show at Spring Street Gallery in lovely downtown Saratoga Springs. Follow the link below to read about this wonderful non-profit supporting the arts and its community.
Blue Show @ the Spring Street Gallery
The painting I submitted is an oldie from my college days which I finally framed and sold at the show!

Garden Installation @ The Danbury Historical Society
This idea is based on a Chinese wishing tree. I've always loved the
effect in other tourist locations where I have seen it. This much
smaller scale version is about 7 feet tall made out of an antique plant
stand, wrapped wire, fabric, and locally found stones.

This is my original sketch for the idea.
An article on the entire garden and other artists involved in this occasion is featured on www.TheMercurial.com

From the recent "Passing Through & Present: An Employee Art Show" at Art & Frame of Danbury:
The empty space below the panda is where the framed picture to the left
here was until it was bought and taken shortly after the opening.
"Fat Panda" Sold
"Mo" Sold

"Betula Papyrifera"
(Paper Birch)
Hopefully just the first of more miniatures that I'd like to create.
I think the details are lost here, much better to see in person.
